Solemnity of Christ the King

I told myself that this blog wouldn’t be complete without one or two posts about my faith, today 20th of November, 2022 we celebrate the solemnity of Christ the King. Now what does this mean you may ask, it a celebration of Jesus Christ as the universal king.


We see a description of Christ from the second reading taking from Letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians chapter 1 from verse 12 to 20. It says all things were created through Him and for Him, He (Christ) the is head of the church and in Him the all fullness of God was pleased to dwell and through Him reconciliation of everything on earth and in Heaven. 

In the gospel reading we find Jesus’s kingship being questioned by the soldiers and criminal who hanged beside Him but the other criminal recognized should I say the kingly power that Jesus was to have and had, Jesus like it said in the second reading stated above, all thrones, dominion, principalities and authorities were created for Him and through Him. Meaning by the dying on the cross and rising to life again he was the first born of the dead making Him supreme over everything. There was also power to come by His death which is why I said earlier the criminal recognized the power He was to have when he said “Jesus remember me when you come in your kingly power”- Luke 23:42.

Jesus is King of the universal as you can see but is He he king in your hear and Life?. Where have you placed Jesus in your life, do you let Him take dominion over your life?. Hope you enjoyed reading this, feel free to comment your understanding :)

Lesson from Our Beloved Summer

 It’s been two months or more since Our Beloved Summer (OBS)finished airing. It was one drama that felt so relatable and very therapeutic to me personally. I got so many inspiring and corrective lessons too. So I’ll be sharing some lessons I learnt today. Kim Da Mi who played Yeon-soo broke up with Choi Ung played by Choi woo Shik because she believed they were living different realities, she was poor and he was rich. She didn’t want to be vulnerable with Ung. She never wanted him to know her insecurities and struggles forgetting that in a relationship vulnerability is must. Being open with your partner strengthens the relationship, we live in a time where nobody wants to be that open, afraid their insecurities will be used against them. Without opening up to anyone how then are we living. The level of openness with people we meet differs. Good evening everyone once again am here to share my thoughts about certain things that occur in life.   Today I would like to talk about dating, so firstly some people feel its right to FIGHT over their boyfriends and girlfriends  but is that entirely right? For me its a no in some cases, like if the girl or the guy is having another relationship or leading someone else on and the person decides to take a pose on his/her life I won't fight because if my boyfriend truly cares about me or loves me I would know my place which no one could easily take because I would trust him but if later in the day am disappointed I wouldn't fight because he is not worth fighting for, likewise in the cases of girls. Also depending on the relationship and how far its gone, I feel I would only fight for my fiance not boyfriend or girlfriend. Please comment and as well share your thoughts ;)

People and their stereotypical views

How you ever wondered how the world would be like if everyone saw each person individually or treated each other individually? Well I feel like there would be a huge change to way things are, for example some unseen barriers would be broken. People wouldn't be judged or viewed based on where they originate from or based on what field they belong, everyone would be given the grace of first impression at least before being criticized. As humans we tend to attribute things to each in order to get what they really are like, we see each other as puzzle pieces that needs  to figured out before the feeling of confidence in them can be assured, its in our nature but what some fail to do most times is to see each other as different or individual pieces. If we can start seeing each person for what they stand for not where they come from the world would truly be a free place without unseen barriers. THANK YOU.☺️
